Natural Contract Lab is een onderzoek naar rivieren en onze contracten ermee. Wie hebben met haar te maken? En wie staat voor haar in? Wie bepleit haar rechten? Tijdens een wandeling (exclusief dagprogramma) brengen we de spelers in kaart en via sharing circles en een juridisch pleidooi voor de rivier en haar rechten, delen we onze verhalen.

Het multidisciplinair team van Natural Contract Lab richt zich op klimaatrechtvaardigheid, milieucriminaliteit, ecocide, en onderzoekt de mogelijkheden die artistieke, juridische en rituele praktijken bieden om tot een diep herstel van de ecologie te komen. Het team bestaat uit: Maria Lucia Cruz Correia (kunstenaar), Marine Calmet (milieu-jurist), Brunilda Pali (herstelrecht), Evanne Nowak (rivierverdriet), Lode Vranken (architectuur/filosofie), Vinny Jones (scenografie), David Buchan (bodem-ecologie/vruchtbaarheid), Mark Požlep (documentatie) en Margarida Mendes (onderzoeker/sonische begeleiding).

Natural Contract Lab is an investigation into rivers and our contracts with them. Who deals with her? And who vouches for her? Who is advocating for her rights? During a walking tour (exclusive day program) we will map the players, and through sharing circles and a legal plea for the river and her rights, we will share our stories.

Natural Contract Lab’s multidisciplinary team focuses on climate justice, environmental crime, ecocide, and explores the potential of artistic, legal, and ritual practices to achieve deep restoration of ecology. The team consists of: Maria Lucia Cruz Correia (artist), Marine Calmet (environmental lawyer), Brunilda Pali (restorative justice), Evanne Nowak (river grievance), Lode Vranken (architecture/philosophy), Vinny Jones (scenography), David Buchan (soil ecology/fertility), Mark Požlep (documentation) and Margarida Mendes (researcher/sonic guidance).
