The Green Splash, 2021

Landschapsstudio NEW GROUNDS heeft The Green Splash ontworpen voor RE_NATURE.

The Green Splash came about after a discussion with local parties about the wishes and visions for the development of the Tramkade. The work will transform the Tramkade into a green space in the coming years.

The Green Splash is smashed against the wall in the heart of the Mengfabriek, as a starting point for the greenification of this area. Climbing plants are growing along the historic steel structure. In time, nature will grow over the monumental factory through the steel construction, giving the redevelopment of the Tramkade a green impulse.

Landscape studio NEW GROUNDS has designed The Green Splash for RE_NATURE. The studio, led by urban planner Boj van den Berg, focuses on the redesign of locations that are often in development and where nature is allowed to play a prominent role.

This is a collaboration with De Conceptenbouwers/Buro Kade on Tramkade.
