Practice what you preach! Wij vinden het belangrijk dat de onderwerpen en toekomstmogelijkheden die we visualiseren tijdens het festival ook binnen onze organisatie zelf een plek krijgen. Daarom maken en bouwen we het festival zoveel mogelijk met circulaire materialen. 

Enkele voorbeelden van onze aanpak:

  • De tentoonstelling is geproduceerd in samenwerking met Museumgoed, een platform dat zich richt op hergebruik van tentoonstellingsmaterialen binnen de museale sector. 
  • Drukwerk beperken we zoveel mogelijk, en wanneer we papier gebruiken is dat afkomstig van duurzame en/of gerecyclede bronnen. 
  • We maken en bouwen zoveel mogelijk met circulaire materialen.
  • We stimuleren onze bezoekers om te voet, met de fiets of met het OV naar onze locatie te komen.

Het is een uitdaging om een festival volledig circulair te maken. Gaandeweg ontdekken we kansen, maar ook beperkingen. De kennis die we vergaren tijdens RE_NATURE delen we op onze website. Zo hopen we andere organisatoren van festivals, tentoonstellingen en evenementen te informeren én te inspireren!

Sustainability

Practice what you preach! We think it is important that the topics and future possibilities we visualize during the festival also have a place within our organization itself. Therefore, we make and build the festival as much as possible with circular materials. 

Some examples of our approach:

  • The exhibition is produced in collaboration with Museumgoed, a platform that focuses on the reuse of exhibition materials within the museum sector.
  • We limit printing as much as possible, and when we use paper it comes from sustainable and/or recycled sources.
  • We make and build as much as possible with circular material.
  • We encourage our visitors to come to our location on foot, by bike, or by public transportation.

It is a challenge to make a festival completely circular. Gradually we discovered opportunities, but also limitations. The knowledge we will gather during RE_NATURE will be shared on our website. In this way, we hope to inform and inspire other organizers of festivals, exhibitions, and events!
