Memory of Nature

For RE_NATURE, Arahmaiani will activate her work Memory of Nature, a mandala with earth and seeds: a concentric diagram that symbolizes the universe and has spiritual and ritual significance for Buddhists. A work that reminds us of our relationship with nature. With the work, Arahmaiani proposes to question our way of looking at the present, the past and the future. Too often we tend to think in black and white concepts, such as good or bad. A Buddhist world view challenges us to see things as connected.
